Ronald Lee Bantle, age 79, passed away in the home he built on his family homestead in Fenton, on April 1, 2024. Beloved husband of Caroline for 38 years. Dear father of Lisa (Joe) O’Donnell, Leah (Jerry) Morcom, the late Rene` King and the late Rod. Father in law of Cheryl Bantle. Bonus father of Steve Greene, Terri (Kevin) Cornell and Brian (Shelly) Greene. Loving grandpa of Micheal, Robert, Adam, Jacob (Brianna), Andrew, Neil, Derek, Kaylee, Justin and Garrett. Great Grandpa of Ezekiel and Elsie. Dear brother of David (Barb) Bantle and 3 sisters. Ron also leaves his “adopted son” Joel Allmand, many extended family members, friends and his special dog Daisy.
Ron was born in Flint, Michigan on October 9, 1944. The son of Wilton and Helen Bantle. Ron and his 4 siblings were all raised on the family farm. He graduated from Hartland High School class of 1963. Ron had a long time career with Ford Motor Company and eventually retired after 30 years. He was a hard worker and never sat down. He was always tinkering . And even though he built a home, made a pond, restored a tractor with his grandson, and maintained the yard, he still wanted to work. So Ron went to a local golf course and got a job working maintenance and grounds keeping. He was there for 24 years. When Ron did have free time he loved to go camping with his family. He made sure to buy a camper with bunkbeds so the grandkids could camp too. The family enjoyed 19 years camping together. Ron was also an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting deer, raccoons, geese and turkey on the homestead and all over the United States. In the fall Ron and Caroline’s home was more like a hunting camp with his children, grandchildren and friends all gathering for various hunts. He loved when his home was filled with family and friends. Caroline was his true love and cherished their life together. Ron will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, April 5, 11am at Temrowski Family Funeral Home 500 Main St., Fenton. Friends may visit on Thursday, April 4, 5-8pm and Friday morning beginning at 10am until the time of service.
