James Ward

James R. Ward, age 71, of Summerfield, Florida, formerly of Highland and Fenton; passed away suddenly while vacationing with his family in Florida on March 30, 2018. Beloved husband of Carol Pardell for 20 years. Dear father of Becca Temrowski (Ken) and Adam (Kristen) Ward. Loving grandpa of Tate, Maty, Shea, Weston & Ryder Temrowski and Evan & Emma Ward. Brother of Judy (the late Ed) Dysart, Jay (the late Carol) Ward, Jack (Sue) Ward and JoAnne (Juan) Morales. Jim also leaves the mother of his children, Marty Brian, his brother in law; Bill (Judy) Brian and sister in law Cathy Brian, many nieces, nephews and loving friends. Jim was born in 1947 to Robert & Edith (nee: Willis) Ward. Jim grew up in the Milford area making a name for himself on the football field. He graduated in 1965 and was one of the few Milford High School Hall of Fame recipients. After graduation, Jim served our Country in the United States Army during Vietnam, earning The Bronze Star. Once he returned from the War, Jim married Martha Brian and together they had, Becca & Adam and lived in Highland across from the family Christmas Tree Farm. Jim divided his time for many years working the farm and at Beaumont Hospital as a Systems Analyst. In the early 90’s, Jim switched jobs and wives. He then worked for Harbor Mortgage as a successful broker and married Carol Pardell in 1998. Within a few years Jim & Carol decided to retire to Florida, where Jim was able to partake in all of his favorite activities, GOLF and GOLF! Jim & Carol also enjoyed traveling around the world and took many trips with their Florida friends. One of Jim’s favorite things was to vacation with his family. He loved to spoil his grandchildren with numerous trips to Splash Village and Florida. Jim truly went to Heaven a happy, fulfilled man, surrounded by days of laughter, love and so much fun with his favorite people. A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, April 14, 5-9pm, at Broadview Christmas Tree Farm, located at 4300 N. Hickory Ridge Rd., Highland. Please come and share stories and memories.
