Lauryn Howard

Lauryn Randi Howard age 11 ½ , went very peacefully to Heaven on January 22, 2017. She was asleep and her Mommy, Daddy, Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Lisa and Cousin Tiffany were with her surrounding her with love. Lauryn was a precious and loving (AND SO VERY, VERY LOVED) gift to her Mommy, Daddy, our family, to her friends, teachers, cheer coaches and to all of you...many who never even met her. She battled cancer as a true and very, very brave warrior for over three years. Lauryn LOVED school, cheerleading and gymnastics (and her trampoline!!!) so, so much!!! She was so athletic!!! And she loved her family and friends very much. And her pets!!!! OMGosh!!! What an animal lover!! You will ALWAYS be remembered as a beautiful precious Warrior Princess. A Memorial Service will be held this Sunday, January 29, 4:30pm at Hartland Educational Support Service Center, 9525 Highland Road, Howell, 48843. Friends may visit anytime beginning at 2pm. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Lauryn’s name to the Livingston County Humane Society.

Your family in Jacksonville, FL will truly miss you, Lauryn! We regret that you never formally met your younger cousin, Iyana. She looks at your picture and knows your face, though. We're grateful to God for the time that we had with you. My favorite time was when you let me braid your hair like mine. :) We never forgot about you and have always prayed for you. Your uncle Clif, aunt Hanika, and cousin Iyana love you very much. We'll be seeing you in heaven at the Tree of Life.

RIH Sweet Lauryn. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. You were such a strong willed, kind hearted, little girl and an inspiration to many. You will be greatly missed but all of our girls know they have a guardian angel watching over them now.

~Michelle Marx & Family

Sweet Lauryn, How does anyone get past something as painful as this? Your love and light will always shine in the hearts of those who loved you. Your cousin Ian and I prayed so hard for you--along with everyone else who knew your story and knew your sweet name. Ian says he can only feel two things when he thinks about you: Mad and Sad. That's how it is for so many of us. It is so unfair that you were taken away from those of us that loved you.--Especially from your wonderful Mommy & Daddy. The only peace I have is in knowing that you don't have to hurt anymore. We will love you always, sweetheart, and we believe in God's promise that we will see you again one day.

~Marissa & Ian Clise

Our sincerest condolences to the Howard family. Our hearts are truly heavy because as friends and family God commands us to share each others burdens. For months my children and I have been praying for God's Will to be done on earth just as it is in heaven regarding Lauryn's health. Well He did it! Lauryn is finally healed, she's in perfect peace, she has her wings, and she's with God! May the peace of God be with you all as you rely on His strength in days to come and always...

Below is a response to prayer requests for Lauryn. Pastors and others in Christ have been praying for Lauryn and all the family. This is just one response of many.

Good morning Mr. & Mrs. Howard. I read your online prayer request this morning and I wanted you to know we are praying for you and your family in the death of your daughter. Words can not express our sorry but I know that God knows what you are going through. God knows and God cares. He will never leave you or forsake you. In this seemly dark hour, trust God. Your beautiful daughter is at home with him in her brand new body. No more suffering, no more pain, no more surgery, just peace and joy for ever and ever. Be blessed and if there is anything I can do, please let me know.

Dear Laura and Randy, Iwanted to share with you my memories of your beautiful daughter in honor of who she was on this earth and who she is in Heaven at this time. I remember walking into Lauryn's kindergarten class, Ms. Seiter's room as my daughter, Brooke, was also in Ms. Seiter's class. I remember Lauryn looking at me, smiling a big smile and saying, "Hi", as if she had known me for years. Looking back now it's almost as if she was saying, even at that time, that "God's got bigger plans for me." Her smile lit up the room and every time after that initial meeting, when I would go into that classroom I made a point of saying hi to Lauryn. Even at that time she impacted the lives of the others around her, kids and grown ups. She was always happy and a friend to all. Your baby girl is now in Heaven. She is out of the pain of her physical body. She is in a place that radiates peace and love beyond human comprehension. The sad thing is that we, on this plane can no longer see her beautiful face or hear her voice or watch her interact with the people around her. God has a special plan for her, a special assignment with Him in His place, not ours. Although our hearts ache for her, take comfort in knowing that she is alive and growing and smiling and laughing with the Father in Heaven. She is there. Here on earth we don't know whatt God's plan for her is or why He plaanned it that way, but I have no doubt that she is doing something really special to continue to provide the joy, smiles and laughter that she once provided here, in Heaven. Take comfort in knowing tht not only is she in a place where there is love and peace and health, but also that someday you will be reunited with your baby and on tht day she will be able to tell you all of the wonderful things she has accomplished in Heaven. You will again see her smile, hear her laughter and share her joy. It's not the end, just a delay in sharing your relationship with her. With Deepest Sympathy, Michelle and Brooke Wiater and family

~Michelle Wiater

Lauryn was an amazing girl with a great attitude and love of life. Even when the end of her life was getting close, she had things she wanted to eat, to drink and to do. An inspirational girl with an incredibly supportive family. The love this little girl inspired and received has been remarkable.
