I remember about 9 yrs Rick and I were on vacation with my brothers family and my parents in Florida....(Marco island) . We went to go on an airboat ride .... we drove and drove and drove and drove down alligator alley looking for the cheapest one ! Passing dozens of airboat places on the way ( that's how my Dad was cheap, but would give the shirt off is back if you asked).... so we finally found one that he approved of ( an hour later) ...we get out of the car ready to start the fun ....but instead of give us headphones ?? to block the noise we all got cotton balls ?? Rick and I look at each other thinking what the hell (hahaha , laughing) So we're on the ride and the operator starts to drive through mangrove trees, we look a head and there is an old abandoned camp! We all look at each ( except my parents) thinking what we are going to do if this go bad ... it was so funny ?? but at the time my brother was so upset.. at the I laughed about it and to this day it makes me smile, because that's how he was????

My Brother in law Bill lived life his way in a cozy pair of sweats and a hat. He loved his family. He enjoyed food most of which his family would pass on. He believed in the second amendment. He loved American history and never met a battlefield or historical marker he didnt like. He was the Grandpa any child would love to have. He gave his children the greatest gift he loved their Mother (my sister Lee). He had an infectious smile and a twinkle in his eye. Heaven is a little brighter with him in it. Rest in peace.

He was a great man who will be missed by all who knew and loved him. I worked with him at Holly State Recreation Area. I always enjoyed working with him. My prayers and thoughts are with his family.
