Raylene Boren

Mrs. Raylene Violet Boren, age 93, passed peacefully at her home in Holly the evening of December 25, 2016, with her son John at her side. Raylene suffered from Pancreatic Cancer. She is the loving wife of 44 years to the late John R. Boren II. Raylene was born in Christopher, IL in 1923. Her parents were Ben H. Parks and Nellie Henson. Raylene lived in Christopher until she married John R. Boren II in Angola, IN then settled in Michigan after the war for the remainder of her life. She had 2 brothers, Ben and Robert; and 4 sisters, Geneva, June, Betty, and Sarah. Raylene worked in Detroit while her husband served in the Army during World War II. Surviving are her children, John R. Boren III of Sterling Heights, MI, Dawn L. McAberns of Florence, KY, and Douglas R. Boren of Rio Vista, CA; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and friends. A graveside service will be held on Saturday Jan. 7th, 2017, 1pm, at Oakwood Cemetery in Fenton. Officiating will be Randy Plumley.
