Roland Coleman

Roland D. Coleman, age 57, passed away May 4, 2012. Born February 9, 1955 to proud parents Kenneth & Rosemary Coleman. At a young age he loved music. In elementary school he learned to play the saxophone and by high school he played every instrument except for the trombone. His favorite was the piano & alto saxophone. In junior high the school marching band played at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and made the album “Sounds of Music by Atherton Junior and Senior High Bands”. He had a passion for animals, mainly his german shepards, Taya & Merlyn, his rottweiler, Kaeli and mix Charlie. All of which he rescued. Roland was dignosed in June 2012 with lung cancer and fought a courageous battle. He will be greatly missed. He is the Beloved husband of Renee. Dear father of Jason. Dear grandpa of Caleb and the late Caden. Brother of Anthony (Debbie) Coleman & Ted Coleman. Son-in-law of Robert (Audrey) Metcalf. Brother-in-law of Bobbie (Andrew) Hunt & Yvonne Stieve. Renee and Jason: Roland was a very special, laid-back, docile, and gentle comedian who could make you laugh to the point of "peeing" your pants. He had fabulously good taste in people because after all, he married a wonderful woman who I consider loving and compassionate as was Rollie himself. Every time we look at Jason, we will see "Rollie's best planted seed" and one fabulous young man!! You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Renee-you and Jason can rest assured your husband and Jason's father is resting in that "ever embraced peace" and in the hands of our Savior. My friend and best friend's husband is suffering no more.......Love in Christ,

~Robert & Mary Stogner

Renee: My thoughts and best wishes are with you. I am sorry that I am still "captive" at the Beaumont Physical Therapy facility and will not be in town for the funeral. If there is anything that I can do to help you do not hesitate to call.

~Steven P. Iamarino

It is with heartfelt sympathy that we extend our sincere condolences. In this sad time may you find strength in God's promise that we can be reunited with our loved ones by means of a resurrection and that one day all suffering including sickness and death will be no more. - John 5:28,29; Revelation 21:3,4 May these precious promises that await us and your treasured memories of Roland bring you a measure of comfort now and in the days ahead.
